
New York Methodist Hospital EMS Institute graduated its first paramedic class in 2001 and has over the past nine years completed twenty-eight paramedic courses and graduated over 700 paramedics. In September 2007 the EMS Institute moved to the Center for Allied Health Education and joined the Hospital’s other allied health schools in a new 10,000 square foot, state-of-the-art training facility.
All courses focus on practical skills with intensive hands-on training. This type of training delivers the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to respond to true-life emergencies.
